06 May 2010 Lowe’s Donates $50,000 to American Red Cross for Flood and Tornado Relief Efforts Lowe’s is answering the call to help flood and tornado victims in 12 states, including Tennessee and Kentucky, by donating $50,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. In addition, Lowe’s stores in affected areas are serving as official cash donation sites for customer contributions. Participating Lowe’s stores include those in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. (more)

03 March 2010 LOWE’S LAUNCHES FIRST MOBILE HEALTH-SCREENING TOUR EXCLUSIVELY FOR EMPLOYEES MOORESVILLE, N.C. – With busy schedules and rising health care costs, health screenings are not always top of mind. But for Lowe’s employees at more than 1,300 Lowe’s locations across the United States, free screenings will be available right at work through Lowe’s Life Track health and wellness program. On March 1, two mobile-health units began traveling across the country to provide more than 70,000 Lowe’s employees with free basic health screenings and guidance about how to improve and maintain their health.
